My interest in
photography was born through my passion for wildlife and the
outdoors. My journey started with an old manual
focus Olympus OM40 which I used for a few months
recording what I was seeing on my countless walkabouts around the
country. From here I quickly moved on to the much acclaimed Nikon
photographic system with the acquisition of the fantastic F-801 with
it's new and very useful auto focus. As my photography became more prolific and
more demanding, due to traveling further field, I felt I had out
grown the F-801 and needed to upgrade to Nikon's pro spec SLR
which at the time was the F4s, this camera was a real workhorse
and a delight to use as
was the improved replacement, the F5, which I moved on to
later.
At first I reluctantly
moved over to digital when I purchased the, then new. Nikon D70. During
this time I was still frequently using my F5 while I found my feet in
this new and unfamiliar territory. Now though I have completely embraced
digital and shoot it exclusively with the excellent spec'd D2x and
consequently have fallen in love with this truly versatile format, it
really does change your perception of photography and how you approach
the creation of your images.
Within the pages of my
website you will find my portfolios containing collections of my images
from both the UK and abroad from 2005 to present day, there's a list of my current photographic
equipment which I use both to create the image in the field and also for
post processing them back in the office. I organise and run my London Photo
Walkabouts which will give photographers a unique perceptive of one of the most photogenic
cities, so if your looking to learn a little
more about your camera or how to get the most from a London district why
not join us. Also if you like any of my images there's a page to order
prints and lastly my photo diary, which briefly documents my
photographic exploits and projects.
If you find my images of
interest please check back frequently as my website is regularly updated
with new photos, collections from the past and other information (please note that at present the site is
going through a gentle transition some pages will disappear and reappear
occasionally)
Rather than a showcase of
my best images this site is more of a record of my adventures with my
camera. So the story of my journey Here, there and everywhere
continues...
